The Chicago Sky really enjoyed the Olympic break apparently.
Pokey Chatman's team has surged to two impressive wins in their first two games post-break, raising their record to 13-13 and pulling one-half game within fourth place Atlanta.
They seem to have settled into a rotation they are happy with, and those starters played the majority of minutes in the two games, after playing with combinations and playing time the first part of the season.
A healthy Courtney Vandersloot is a driving force thus far. In the opener against Atlanta, she had 14 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
She was even better last night, scoring 15 on 5-of-9 shooting, and dishing nine assists. Overall Chicago dished 23 assists on 36 baskets made.
Chicago is becoming a legitimate contender; the rest of their schedule is manageable with only two games left against teams higher than them in current standings. They will need some help to move up, but they can certainly take care of their own business!
Congratulations Courtney Vandersloot, our Disher of the Night!
